The Brazilian “Camilians” Province of the Sick Ministers Order of the– “Camilians” Fathers and Brothers - declare their faith to the founder ideal commitment, São Camilo de Lellis, updating his ideals and spiritual votes in serving, with evangelist love and professional competence, to the new generations in their multiple needs, providing preferential attention to the ones that need most and also to the ones that were excluded from the society.

The prophetic mission that we have inherited from our founder, which we are responsible to carry on, is “to witness in Christ’s love world His constant presence for the sick people”, respecting and protecting humans’, Christians’ and Catholics’ values. As per this mission, the Camilians special reinforces life and health values for the humans, for their professionals, and its competent and faithful administration.

The Camilians, their professionals and its respective entities will respect all their dimensions – biological, psychical and spiritual as far as life and health values are concerned. They will make any necessary effort to promote and take care of them till the limit of their possibilities, following their ethical, Christian and ecclesiastic values, taking in consideration an ecumenical vision, denying everything that may hurt or diminish their whole expression.

As far as a human being value is concerned, the Camilians entities recognize and defend the fundamental dignity of all human beings, created as an image and resemblance of God. The ones who have a role in the Camilians institutions should pay attention, respect, personal care and sincere love for all who may come and use their services without discrimination.

As far as professionals value, the Camilians entities will recognize in them their main and true property, aware that through them and thanks to their dedication that the values here described Will be preserved towards human being’s life and health. Aware of their value, the Camilians entities will develop and apply a human resource policy that will enable the development, professional capacity and spiritual formation of their professionals, providing the unison, fraternity and co-responsible among all the members of their aid, educational, social and religious institutions. It will also be offered to them the opportunity to get involved in the health community and volunteering services.

As far as administration is concerned, Camilians entities will make all the necessary effort in searching endlessly for human, ethical, scientific, technological and religious knowledge in order to make sure the rational usage of the available resources for human benefit and service quality in the community, following São Camilo’s ideal.
